"Welcome, dear people ...

... we welcome you to our school today." With this song, the school community welcomed seven new first graders who had come with their parents and relatives on August 27. Everyone had gathered in the schoolyard to welcome one girl and six boys in glorious sunshine. Each and every one of them stepped forward, was introduced by name by principal Alexander Müller and pinned a small sun with their first name in the middle of numerous sunbeams, which were inscribed with the names of all their classmates at Levana School. The result was a sun collage that clearly shows that the newcomers are now part of the radiant school community. "It's great that you're here" was sung by the teacher band and everyone joined in joyfully to welcome the newcomers musically into their midst with this song.

After the ceremony, the parents brought their child to the classroom, where they were able to get to know their new classmates, their teachers and the premises. Meanwhile, the parents gathered in the multi-purpose room and used the time to chat over coffee and cookies. Here they were entertained by the SEK 2 pupils. After about an hour, the exciting first day of school came to an end for the little ones, but certainly also for the older ones.
