Levana pupils experience a creative book project
On the trail of friends! This was the name of the book project carried out by four pupils from Lower Level 2 at Levana School with their work placement student Maria Cramer. The Levana School is a special school with a focus on holistic and motor development in Bad Neuenahr - Ahrweiler.
From January to February, the small project group worked on the picture book "Friends" by Helme Heine. The girls and boys explored the pictures and the content of the book and got to know their friends Johnny Mauser, Waldemar the pig and Franz von Hahn from Mullewap farm. They actively and imaginatively participated in creating the characters as hand puppets. With great enthusiasm and lots of fun, they felted and sewed until the children finally held the finished hand puppets in their hands. Creatively and with great joy, they now worked out individual scenes from the picture book, acted them out and were able to better understand the content in this way. The highlight of the project, however, was the friends' party, to which the four actors invited some of their classmates, acted out selected scenes with their hand puppets and sang the friends' song "Ein guter Freund und jeder Tag wird schön" together with them. But what would a friends' party be without a feast? The children had baked pig's ears, which they ate with relish together with their beaming guests.
