Spellbound silence and thunderous applause for Anny Ogrezeanu

After a break of several years, the time had finally come again: the Levana school community gathered in their school's multi-purpose room and waited eagerly for the 22nd Levana concert to begin. Anny Ogrezeanu, known to many from television because Anny won the 12th season of the casting show "The Voice of Germany" in 2022, was announced. The pupils from Upper School 1 added to the concert atmosphere and held up a poster with the words: "Nice to see you, Anny!". Together with Dirk Schoenmackers (moderator and vocals) and Horst Schäfer (keyboard and vocals), the audience greeted their guest with the song "Herzlich Willkommen". Thus warmly welcomed, the petite person stepped forward, announced loud and quiet songs and immediately captivated the audience with her first performance, "Hold My Hand" by Lady Gaga. Fascinated, the school community listened to the incredibly expressive voice and let themselves be enchanted by the music and singing. The setlist included songs such as "Angels Like You" (Miley Cyrus), "Clown" (Emeli Sandé) and "No Time To Die" (Billie Eilish). Film music was also on the program and Anny impressively performed the songs "Always Remember Us This Way" and "Shallow" (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper) from the film "A Star Is Born". Ogrezeanu sometimes sang to music from a tablet or accompanied herself on the keyboard. Of course, the song "Run With Me", which Anny performed with Calum Scott in the final of "The Voice of Germany" in 2022, was not to be missed. There was a spellbound silence in the room during the touching song, which was replaced by enthusiastic applause at the end of each song. Anny commented with emotion: "You guys are great. You make noise like 2000 people." The talented singer tries to upload a cover song to YouTube every week and gave further samples from her repertoire. The audience enjoyed singing along to the choruses of well-known songs such as "Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen)". Anny Ogrezeanu was not allowed to leave without encores and so Anny sang Whitney Houston's song "One Moment In Time" with dedication. The Levana community thanked her for the fantastic concert with long-lasting applause and a gift made by the Werkstufen students themselves. The very diverse student body of the Levana School was captivated and carried away by the music and Anny Ogrezeanu was impressed by the direct and genuine response of the children and young people. As a grand finale, Anny had her photo taken with numerous pupils and signed autograph cards with a personal dedication on request. This Levana concert will certainly resonate for a long time to come. Everyone is happy and grateful that Anny Ogrezeanu accepted Dirk Schoenmacker's invitation on Instagram and made this great experience possible for them. If you would like to hear more from Anny Ogrezeanu, please visit youtube.com/@annyogrezeanu or instagram.com/annyogrezeanu the opportunity to do so.

This was the first Levana concert to be held on the school's premises since 2019. Once again, it became clear that the school's own concerts encourage pupils to enjoy music. They offer them the opportunity to get to know different styles and to get a taste of the concert atmosphere. The Levana School, a special school with a focus on holistic and motor development in the district of Ahrweiler, is happy to welcome committed musicians who are willing to present their music as part of an in-house concert.
