On Monday, 25.09.2023, the study day on the topic of "Code of Conduct and Protection Concept" took place at Levana School under the direction of Jörg von Irmer (Pädagogisches Landesinstitut). In collaboration with Nora Hogrebe and Astrid Poessiger (also from the Pädagogisches Landesinstitut), the teaching staff, therapists, janitors, secretary and members of the school parents' council - in other words, everyone who is involved in the school's code of conduct in day-to-day school life - had the opportunity to get to grips with the topic. Two workshop phases in the morning and afternoon served this purpose. In the morning, the randomly mixed groups dealt with practical examples of sexualized violence and were able to recognize and assess these using criteria and colored flags, as well as identify possible reactions. In the afternoon, the focus was on the joint collection of ideas for a code of conduct at Levana School. Once again in randomly mixed groups, all participants were asked to express and discuss their own views and thoughts on various topics that can lead to pedagogically borderline situations.
In conclusion, those present drew a consistently positive conclusion. The study day was experienced as very constructive and enriching. The Levana School's protection concept team will hold weekly meetings to develop a code of conduct based on the results of the study day.
